I am a 2010 graduate of the Oregon School of Massage. I was a late comer to this profession and learned pretty quickly I couldn't apply the same pressure that my class mates routinely used. So I was automatically drawn to the modalities that required less pressure and/ or used body movements to activate releases and relaxation.
I spent the first 10 years after graduation doing hospice massage. This taught to be very flexible with where and how I treated clients. I got tons of practice learning how to alleviate pain in an area without exacerbating it. Beginning in 2020 I transitioned to working in a chiropractic office. When I broke my leg in late 2024 and could not work for 4 months I realized there were many people in my community wanting the softer massage techniques and basically zero providers other than myself.
Beginning in 2025 I am on a mission to recruit, educate and mentor more therapists and health care providers in using true Fascial treatment techniques. Together we are building a community around classes, meet-ups and community events to empower our local residents to learn and use the techniques in their daily lives.
